Bands line-up takes shape for 2007 festival  27 Jul 2007

Despite a decision to scale down this year's Festival, several bands are already committed to play on 22 September, with some returning by popular request and some new names too.

Holly Taymar is back on the billing, as is Suzy Bradley who played in 2005 and 2006. Jim Bower also will be back - Jim played an acoustic set at Crayke in 2005 and brough his Leeds band Shatner last year, but will be returning for another solo effort in 2007.

New to the line-up this year will be Box of Goats, a local outfit with members from Farlington, Sheriff Hutton, and a strong Sutton-on-the-Forest connection. Box of Goats write and play their own material, which could be described as mix of rock, pop, blues and country. They've played gigs locally at Flaxton and Nunnington, at The Junction and St John's University in York, at the recent Paul Hunter Tribute Charity Gig in Pocklington. Another local outfit, The Dilfs, will also be taking to the stage - they appeared in a slightly different incarnation last year as The Usual Suspects and have been touring since throughout Yorkshire.

And latest to sign up is country blues payer Dave Smith, pictured with Mike Jackson, again back by popular request after a fantastic set last year. There are still a few more slots to fill so get in touch if you're interested, and keep an eye on the website for updates, and for more information about these artists.
