Plans are starting to take shape for the third Forest of Galtres Festival, with the date being set for Saturday 22 September 2007 - so put that into your diary!

The venue is still being considered - after excellent festivals at Crayke and Sutton on the Forest, new sites are being looked for, and locations at Huby and Byland Abbey are currently under consideration. Any other suggestions welcome.

Said carouser James Houston: "We're looking to build on the tremendous support we have built up over the last couple of years, and to organise an even better third Festival. But while we hope it will be bigger, and perhaps over two days this year, we''re committed to keeping this very much a community event for our region."

Local bands, food producers, artists and entertainers are all invited to take part.
