Plant a tree - new for 2009!
New this year - our plans to plant trees after the Festival. We're keen to reduce the carbon footprint of the Festival, and also to take some small steps towards restoring some of the ancient forest from which our event takes its name. And we'd like your help.
When you buy your tickets online you'll be offered the opportunity to also make a donation of £5 - for this we'll either supply you with a small tree to collect at the Festival and take home, or we'll plant it for you.
As an alternative, the Woodland Trust offers a scheme where for £15 they will plant and nurture a tree for you for its lifetime.

The trees we have are native English - oak, ash, horse chestnut, sycamore, holly etc - and we've identified a location between Crayke and Huby to plant them. A public footpath runs alongside the land, so you'll be able to wander by and watch your trees grow into a beautiful wood.
