Our crepes are made fresh while you wait with a wide array of toppings, one for everyones palate.
Our menu presents a wide selection of tapas which sees old favourites like Patatas Bravas and Calamares alongside some more unusual dishes that explore our interest in fusion, Albondigas (meatballs) served in a creamy lemongrass & chilli sauce, or our Morcilla (blackpudding) scotch eggs being two such examples. Whatever your likes or dislikes and regardless of how adventurous you are, we are confident that we can guarantee a really memorable dining experience at Ambiente
visit siteBlitzed produce homemade soups and stews in which we use only the best ingredients Yorkshire has to offer. All our soups and stews are lovingly produced in our Michelin tyre catering trailer which we call the stew house. For our soup enthusiasts we will be serving our favourite Thai, Mexican and Spanish soups as well as our magic tasting mushroom soup. We loved making lots of friends at Galtres last year and we can’t wait to meet you all again in August.

The perfect start to the day after the night before - a Boogie Breakfast! Yummy fare all from good local, organic and FairTade sources. Sausages, bacon, free range eggs, mushrooms and more in baps or rolls, with tasty veggie options. Proper coffee and tea, orange juice, and milk also on sale. Find us by the main entrance in the Parklands campsite for a breakfast you won't forget!
This year Boogie Breakfasts is being run by the excellent Krumbs Cafe in York, which provides employment and training for adults with learning difficulties.

Chaat Cart are returning once again to Galtres with their seriously addictive street food from the North West of India. Ours is made using puffed rice, crunchy sev (made of gram flour, found in Bombay mix), tomato, potato, onions, lemon juice, coriander and tamarind chutney (secret recipe) with a roasted lentil and pomegranate garnish.
Their Galtres Menu will include some of the following offerings:
MASALA DOSA (Gluten Free): A savoury crepe, made from rice and lentils, filled with a mix of potatoes, peas, fried onions and spices. Served with our home made tomato and coconut chutneys.
SAMOSA CHAAT: A warm, hearty dish - a vegetable samosa, topped with a tomato and chick pea curry.

We are happy to announce the return of the deliciously authentic Chinese Noodles in a variety of mouthwatering combinations and your own choice of sauce.
Our Chinese Noodles are freshly prepared each morning, we have Chicken Breast and the finest Roast Beef with or without veg and a selection of six sauces to choose from, Thai Curry, Chinese Curry, BBQ, Blackbean, Sweet and Sour and Sweet Chilli. We also do hot vegetable spring rolls with any sauce.

In 2013 you would have found this mobile teashop around the ArtsBarge Tent. We are delighted to have Deliciousness back for another year at Galtres Serving a selection of sandwiches, soups, cakes (wheat and gluten free).
Deliciousness mobile Teashop provides a lovely cup of tea, a scrumptious piece of cake or a tasty snack when out and about at a festival, show or outdoor concert. The vintage 1969 caravan has been lovingly refurbished and converted into a mobile tea shop to provide a friendly traditional cafe experience.

Try our pork sausage sandwiches and burgers made from our own outdoor pigs. Or our lamb burgers and lamb kofta kebabs made from our own local sheep flocks!
In fact all our meat is reared and produced on our own family farm - even our onions are home-grown!

We specialise in traditional, Neopolitan, thin-crust pizzas with delicious crispy texture and that authentic Italian taste. We make our own sauces using extra virgin olive oil, fresh herbs and ripe, Italian plum tomatoes
Naturally we also get our mozarrella and parmesan cheeses from Italy. Our garlic comes from Spain and our olives from Morocco. But as far as possible we source our ingredients from farmers and growers local to our base in rural North Yorkshire.
We use aware-winning local cheeses like Yorkshire blue and we grow many of our vegetables in our market garden. For extra flavour we add our own special ingredients like caramelised balsamic onion and oven roasted red peppers. The end result is a pizza that tastes as good as anything you'll find this side of Italy!

Nestled on the outskirts of Tollerton, near York in the beautiful North Yorkshire countryside the Pizza Farm is the idea of the Newland family, Mike and Caroline Newland have farmed at Youlton Lodge Farm for 30 years, a traditional Vale of York farm they grow cereals, oil seed rape and energy crops. The farm also has sheep which are reared on the historic grassland. The Pizza Farm comprises an education facility where school children learn about food production, sustainability and the natural environment and will join us at the festival with its mobile traditional wood fired oven to produce lots and lots of nice pizzas!

A range of gorgeous hot and cold sandwiches as well as burgers, pork pies, sausage rolls, cheese straws, fruit pies, Yorkshire tarts, Eccles cakes, biscuits and chilled desserts! Thomas the Baker's buying policy is to source as much as possible locally (we buy over 70% of our ingredients within Yorkshire) and we always buy British. All the lamb and beef used in burgers is sourced from Middle Baxton Farm in Helmsely - just 2 miles from our local shop. All our eggs are free range and local too!
