25 Aug 2012 18:30 to 19:15
Amos Jacob in association with Snickelway Theatre Company present Tristan and Isolde.
This poetic reworking of the classic Arthurian ledged uses physical theatre and music to tell the tale of Tristan’s trials, his love and his doom.
The story begins with a young boy, Tristan, being lost for dead. He is raised by a hermit but later discovers his heritage and is welcomed back to his kingdom.
Tristran is drawn into killing an enemy of his people and the real tale of love, revenge bravery and dragon slaying begins...
A wandering minstrel was I once until taken in by generous ears,
So then I sought to deserve my home and threw my fears to the stormy sea,
I wove a song around many men and beasts with blazing eyes,
I danced in the fiery furnace of love till fortuned scythed my side,
And now I ride from here to there, again wandering, a minstrel I.
