The Van Doos are an indie three-piece from Helmsley, North Yorkshire. Their sound of killer guitar hooks and irrepressible vocals is defiantly British and instantly infectious. Well-crafted songs tell stories of of hopeless romance and the frustrations of young manhood, yet remain unshakably optimistic throughout.

The explosive, fist-punching tracks on The Van Doos' debut EP have been described by the NME as "anthems in waiting, full of choruses to make the football terraces jealous". Forthcoming single Airborne, with its uplifting and euphoric pop sensibility is a huge statement of intent from a band set for big things.

With frontman Simon Hutchinson channeling the spirit of Julian Cope, rarely has being hung-up, obsessive and irrational been so life-affirming.
