Charities benefit from Festival proceeds  19/02/2007

Donations are currently being distributed to charities supported by the 2006 Festival. St Monica's Hospital in Easingwold and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance are the largest beneficiaries, each receiving just over £600. Funds were also donated to Easingwold District Community Care Association, Sutton Playing Fields Association, Sutton Playgroup & Toddlers, Huby Playground Appeal, Hearing Dogs for the Deaf, Children's Heart Federation, British Heart Foundation, Alzheimer's Society, Malton Lions, and Sutton De Grey Village Hall.
The allocation of funds was determined largely by the Festival sponsors, all of whom are thanked for their support. It may well be that a single good cause, ideally based in the Forest of Galtres area, is supported by the 2007 Festival - we'd welcome your suggestions.
