Holly plays her very own brand of acoustic jazz/folk, and has developed as a songwriter and musician, writing mellow but quirky acoustic songs. We tried to book her for last year's festival but she couldn't make it, so we're very excited about her appearance this year.

The Minster Strays is a recently established Morris side, based in the Howardian Hills between York and Pickering. They have members of both sexes and all ages, but with a common love of England''s folk dance tradition.
The repertoire includes elegant dances from the Cotswolds with complex sequences of galleys and capers, together with wild, raucous frolics from the Welsh borders. The varied traditions are reflected in our kit; smart waistcoats for the Cotswold, multicoloured tattered jackets for the Border.

The winner of York's Strung Out competition for singer-songwriters, Oliver will be playing unplugged in the beer marquee at intervals throughout the rest of the evening.
Oliver says: "I work hard to write songs with lyrics that are personal and sometimes profound, while retaining an element of simplicity. The honest, raw and uncontrived songs from voices of the past, such as Cash, Buckley etc. are what inspires me the most.
