Ticket info

Tickets for the Galtres Festival 2012 are now on sale - see below for pricing information, and click on the right to buy in the Festival shop. Also below are details about booking fees and postage costs.

Volunteers are needed to help on the bar - contact the Volunteering Co-ordinator for details. You still need to buy your entry ticket, but you'll get a free festival t-shirt worth £10 and £17.50 of beer & food vouchers per 3-hour shift. Volunteers who work longer shifts, or who help with site set-up or clear-up, will be entitled to a refund on their entry ticket.

Don't forget to buy your campsite tickets at the same time - click here for details of current camping options.

And you can buy special bus tickets too to get you home - it's green, quick, and means you don't have to worry about having a few drinks. Click here for details.

Many participating artists and media partners will be issuing discount codes between February and June  - these will get you £3 off a day ticket, £5 off a weekend ticket, and £15 off a family weekend ticket. Check local press, radio stations and band websites for how to get your discount code.

Local residents are entitled to a 50% discount on entry tickets, provided the billing address and the delivery address include a YO61 postcode. Use the discount code YO61 at checkout.

There is a maximum order limit of 10 tickets per order and per household - this is to stop touts buying them all up. Your tickets will be sent to you in August.

VOUCHERS
* This year ALL food and drink outlets will again use our voucher system, as will the children's fairground, Festival buses etc. To avoid the queues when you arrive, we recommend that you buy at least one book of vouchers in advance. You'll be able to buy additional vouchers at the festival by debit or credit card as well as by cash, and cashback will be available.

BOOKING FEES AND POSTAGE COSTS

We charge a booking fee of £5 per order - this covers credit/debit card commissions, and also our administration costs in processing and dispatching your order. It's a flat fee per order, not per ticket. It means it's cost effective for you to buy all the tickets for you and your friends in one go, including camping, buses etc - if you buy five entry tickets in one order it works out at just £1 per person, which is far lower than any other online ticket purchasing facility we know of.

We also charge £5.50 for postage. We wish we didn't need to, but that's what it costs to get the tickets to you securely by Royal Mail Special Delivery. In the past we've used lower-cost postage methods and it's not been terribly reliable - some people have not received their tickets and it's been a lot of hassle for everyone. The system we're using this year includes online tracking, so even at the festival itself we'll know whether each set of tickets has been received.  Again, this is a fixed fee per order, so it makes sense to group your purchases so you only pay postage once.

We've explored using external ticket agencies for dispatch but worked out that overall it would cost you a lot more and give us less control over the process, so decided against it.

We've improved the online shop system this year, so after placing your order you can log in again and add to the order (eg more entry tickets for friends, or buying additional vouchers or camping tickets) - provided this is before your original order has been dispatched. This should mean you only need to pay one lot of booking and postage fees.
