Festival of fun

This year's Festival of Fun has a circus theme and is packed full of activities and entertainment for children of all ages.

There really is something for everyone.  Come and try!   We don’t mind if you drop the balls or smash the plates!  

Places are limited on the workshops so don't forget to pre-register to make sure you don't miss out!

Circus Skills Workshops 30 Aug 2009  

Run by professional entertainer Ron Wood of Jolly Good Production, you will be able to learn juggling, diabolo, plate spinning, balancing acts and more using Ron’s real circus equipment.  There will be an age group to suit you, so run away with us for the day and have fun with the festival circus!  Look out for the stiltwalkers too!

The circus skills workshops can be pre-booked when you order your tickets (places are limited).

This year our resident rural arts expert Rick will be teaching the art of flag-making.

Henna Tattoos and Jewelry 30 Aug 2009  

Our Henna designer Sunita will create intricate ethnic or contemporary henna designs and exotic patterns on various parts of the body.

Traditionally the art form of henna tattoo application varies from one religion to the next. The varying designs mean different things to each culture, good health, fertility, wisdom and spiritual enlightenment.

Sunita will also be selling traditional Indian jewelry.

Kindermusik - music and movement for young children 30 Aug 2009

Each Kindermusik class is a world of discovery and adventure - you'll witness your child's developmental evolution in language skills, literacy, listening, problem solving, social skills, self-esteem, and musicality. And it happens within a nurturing environment-full of energy, imagination, music, dancing, and playful delight.

Cath's workshops take place today at 2pm, 3pm, and 4pm and each lasts 20 minutes. Numbers are limited- first come, first served.

Face-painting and balloon-modelling 30 Aug 2009   12:00 to 17:00

Wendy is a professional face-painter, who will occasionally entertain the children with a spot of balloon modelling.
